  • A keyword résumé is similar to a scannable résumé, but it's meant for uploading on the Internet or sending by e-mail. If employers ask for an ASCII, plain text or e-mail version of your résumé, you're covered -- just use this keyword résumé. You'll save time, worry and hassle!
  • A Web page résumé proves that you understand the importance of technology. It's also a great way to handle spur-of-the-moment job interviews. Q. Do I need a cover letter?

A. If you plan to hand-deliver your résumé, a cover letter may not be necessary.

Q. When will I get my résumé?

A. Usually 5-7 business days after placing your order. First, you'll get a draft copy of your résumé by e-mail or fax. You review and return the draft copy with your comments. Then, I'll make revisions and send you the final draft to look over. After you approve it, your résumé is printed and sent by Priority Mail. In a hurry? Choose FedEx Standard Overnight service for just $7.50 more.


Q. I need a résumé in 48 hours. Can you help me?

A. Usually, no. Because of tremendous demand, I'm typically booked 2-3 days in advance. If you need a résumé quickly, I recommend you contact 1 Day Résumés, a very fast division of Guaranteed Résumés.


Q. What kind of printer and paper do you use?

A. An NEC SuperScript 870 laser printer at 600 DPI, using high-quality 24-lb. stationery. Your Guaranteed Résumé will be attractive and easy to read, right down to the wide margins and 12-point Times New Roman fonts -- the same typeface pioneered by the New York Times.


Q. Why don't you belong to the Professional Association of Résumé Writers?

A. I thought about joining several years ago. Trouble is, certification from this or any other organization is no measure of a résumé writer's ability. A "license" to write résumés is about as assuring as a license to drive a car. Consider that idiot who tailgated you yesterday on the freeway -- he had a license, yes, but did he have any business being on the road?
